EVE showed up at the GGLB Annual Conference. Dr. Liu Jincheng, the chairman of EVE attended and delivered a speech.

Nov 17,2022

From the 14th to the 16th of November, the 2022 GaoGong Lithium Battery Annual Conference and GGLB Golden Globe Award Ceremony were held in Shenzhen. The theme of the annual conference was " China Leads the way in global new energy industry". At the conference, EVE won the "2022 Annual Enterprise Award". Dr. Liu Jincheng, the chairman of EVE was invited to attend and delivered a speech on “Large Cylindrical Cells · Large Lithium Iron Phosphate Cells · Large World".

According to Dr. Liu Jincheng, “the carbon peaking & carbon neutrality strategy” goal gives certainty to the development of the new energy industry and promotes the development of the whole industry chain in a completely open environment.

About lithium batteries, the industry focused on safety, energy density, and space utilization in the past. In the last two years, the price of battery raw materials rose rapidly. The lithium battery industry practitioners should think more about solving the problem of the cost of use for the whole society. This is also the reason that EVE develops large cylindrical cells and large lithium iron phosphate cells firmly.

Dr. Liu Jincheng introduced that the current is a strategic opportunity period for EVE's development. Facing the historical changes, EVE has continued to invest in the industrial layout and has completed the layout of factories in the northeast, southwest and northwest of China, while planning to build factories in Hungary, Malaysia and other countries. EVE is expected to form a delivery capacity of more than 100GWh by the end of this year. And the production capacity will be further expanded in the next year and the year after.

At the same time, Dr. Liu Jincheng pointed out that overcapacity is expected to occur in the entire industry chain by 2024 at the latest, and the only thing that will not have excess capacity is the battery products with superior quality and low cost.

For this reason, EVE has invested a lot of money to build the R&D center, which will be completed and put into use soon. EVE not only has the determination to develop power and energy storage battery technology but also has the idea of continuous innovation and leading development.

In terms of battery product technology development, EVE focuses on the layout of large cylindrical cells and large lithium iron phosphate cells. The core purpose is to significantly reduce the cost per watt hour of lithium batteries and improve product performance. Large cylindrical cells and large lithium iron phosphate cells will be the dominant products in the next three years. The manufacturing efficiency of large cylindrical cells (46 series cylindrical batteries) can be improved by 30%, and the total cost of large lithium iron phosphate cells (LF560K) can be reduced by 10%. In the TWh era, assuming the batteries are reduced in weight, which will save trillions of costs for the whole of society.

Dr. Liu Jincheng believes that in the new energy field, China's industry chain has been ahead of the Times. China is providing products and services to the world in the form of a complete industry chain. Facing the new situation and challenges, EVE will work with global supply chain partners to build global manufacturing capability and global delivery service capability, relying on China's technology and solutions to serve global customers.
